The word Elthea is actually a girls name meaning 'healing herb' which is derived from the greek word 'Althea' meaning "to heal".
We have recently moved to Preston, Lancashire. All our dogs live in the house with us. Some of them enjoy competing in various dog sports, including showing, agility and our favourite flyball, but most of all they are all loving companions.
Before being bred from all our dogs are eye tested, BAER hearing tested, hip scored and DNA tested Normal for CEA, CL and TNS (or genetically Normal by parentage). We are now elbow scoring and doing gonioscopy eye tests as well. My feeling is, if you don't test you don't know.
In 2005 we joined the Kennel Club Accredited Breeders Scheme, which aims to promote responsible breeding.
